Pilot Licenses

The airplane is the nearest thing to animate life that man has created to be. In the air, a machine is no longer in fact than a mere piece of mechanism, it will revive, and is capable not only of primary guidance and control, but in reality the expression of a pilot's license temperament.
- Sir Ross Smith, KBE, 'National Geographic Magazine, March 1921.

There are many types of pilot licenses, which you can receive. This book deals mainly with private pilot licenses and certifications. PilotLicenses from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA. them) into two categories: certificates are issued and training received. A certificate defines the different levels of flying privileges, which has earned the pilot. A rating defines the various categories and classes of aircraft in that allow the pilot to exercise the privileges of their certificate.

Certificates are:
- Student Pilot
- Sport Pilot
- Recreational Pilot
- Private Pilot
- Commercial Pilot
- AirlineTransport Pilot
- Flight instructor

Ratings are primarily refer to commercial pilots, airline transport pilot, flight instructor and pilot. Some of the reviews that a pilot can receive are:

- Airplane - single engine land
- Airplane - Single-engine sea
- Airplane - Multi-Engine Land
- Instrument
- Glider
- Rotary-wing aircraft or helicopters

The serenity of flying is too large, the joy so great that it will be neglected as a sport.
- Orville Wright

Sport pilots fly smaller and lighter aircraft. The idea is to allow a pilot to fly a light, small aircraft for fun. In order to fly as sport pilots, you need to get a sport pilot license, which consists of 20 hours flight, always a medical examiner's certificate, and passing a knowledge test.

A sportsPilot's license you can fly to visit them. It's not teach them how to fly in an air navigation strip at a busy airport such as Chicago or New York La Guardia O'Hara airport. Many private pilots flying today are primarily about flying airplanes, such as sport pilots, and thus do not require any certification and flight time, they have not been using. Sport pilots may not be higher than 10,000 feet above sea level, they are also not allowed to fly, fly more than 2000Meters above the ground, whichever is higher. Sport pilots must not acquire the third-class medical examiner certificate.

Recreational Pilot License
The recreational pilot's license was created in 1987. In contrast to the sport of recreational pilot's license has almost the same requirements as a private pilot's license, such as the acquisition of third-class medical examiner certificate, but with more restrictions and not so many advantages. InFact there are currently a little more than a thousand recreational pilot licenses in use today.

A recreational pilot may not fly any aircraft that can be a sport pilot. A recreational pilot may fly only single-engine airplanes and helicopters, with a horsepower of 180 or less, and can only fly aircraft with a four-seater or less. At the same time, a recreational pilot may have only one passenger.
